This is a part-time position 30 hrs per week, however there will be an opportunity to extend this to a full-time role with the addition of 7.5 hours per week in the wellbeing space.

We are looking for a Navigator and Programme Facilitator to support and come alongside people, as they seek improved wellness and life outcomes. Offering advocacy, life skills education, service resources and wider community connection.

The key tasks are to:

  • deliver an empathetic, and responsive service for people, families, and communities
  • grow confidence in people as they manage important issues in their lives
  • to refer and broker relationship development with internal and external services that support the achievement of a person's goals
  • promote and facilitate group and individual programmes that deliver identified outcomes
  • work as part of a dynamic local and regional team.

Our ideal person will:  

  • show aroha/compassion, and manaakitanga/care for people
  • easily build whanaungatanga/authentic relationships with people
  • have two years of case work/facilitation experience
  • confidently adapt education programmes to be inclusive of different learning styles and capabilities
  • relate well to people from diverse backgrounds, especially people who have experienced trauma/impactful life events
  • have an understanding of, respect for, and ability to work with The Salvation Army's mission, principles, and Christian ethos.

Hours of work: Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4pm (including 30 minutes unpaid lunch break)

The starting salary for this role is $44,385.58-$46,425.60 annually. This role is covered by the pay equity agreement and the final remuneration will be dependent on the years' experience of the preferred candidate brings to the role
