Location: Radius Baycare, 361 Puketona Road, Haruru Falls, Paihia 0200

Hours of work: Part time, approx 20 hours per week. Must have flexibility to work rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster

Pay Rate: $23.15 - $28.25 per hour - subject to completed caregiving qualification

About the Role

Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Some Duties include but not limited to:

• Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
• Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
• Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
• Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
• Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes

Skills and Experience

• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (or equivalent), OR New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) AND 3 years of relevant experience
• People skills with empathy for the elderly and their families
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work on a rostered shift basis
