The Role

We are excited to work with an amazing team of people, doing the best they can for the people they serve, in their communities. Growing at a rapid rate, they’re now seeking to add a number of Line Mechanics to their two depots, in the Waikato region.

If you are bonded under AEWV, don’t let that put you off, we are here to support you. While residing in New Zealand is ideal we will happily sponsor the right person to make the move, including relocation costs.

To be considered for this role you will need to;

• Have your current EWRB Licence or it be in process
• Be a fully qualified Line Mechanic and able to head straight into the field and get stuck in with at least a Level 4 NZQA equivalent qualification
• Have excellent in health and safety standards
• Be able to work independently BUT as part of a team
• Be community focused and communicative, to the needs of those around you
• Have a passion for what you do, and show that in the work you produce
• Be able to be on an on-call faults roster, where applicable

As a line mechanic you will be responsible for

• Installing both overhead and underground powerlines
• Responding to faults and outages
• Assisting with maintenance and repair work as needed
• Testing lines and fault finding
• Construction of new lines
