The opportunity
As a member of the Governance team the Governance Advisor supports a variety of Committees, Boards and Forums. You will provide support in meetings of these groups on correct procedures. You will be responsible for creating agendas, taking minutes, and managing resolutions.
A varied workflow and the opportunity to work collaboratively across functions and teams in the organisation.
To set you up for success, you'll have
- Excellent organisation, communication and writing skills.
- An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and what partnership with Māori means.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships and networks across the organisation.
- While Local Government experience is a bonus it is not a requirement, if you have the right set of skills and want to learn we will provide you with comprehensive training to be successful in the role.
