We have an exciting opportunity for an intermediate-senior Building Assessor to join our team in Christchurch to assist in the delivery of our condition assessment projects. This is a full-time role with potential to travel and deliver condition assessment projects nationwide.

This role requires the successful candidate to manage and deliver a range of asset assessment activities, as well as effectively liaising with our customers. The role contributes to the successful delivery of projects to contractual and commercial targets by effectively managing project staff, asset condition assessments, sub-contractors and suppliers. The promotion of best practise with respect to health, safety and quality will be pivotal in this role.

Reporting to the National Lead FM, the Building Assessor will assist both the wider Contract Management and Capital Projects teams in the delivery of projects for Citycare Property's customers. This role presents an exciting and challenging opportunity where the right candidate can broaden their career in a fast-paced, busy environment. The scope of work and nature of this contract provides a broad exposure to a number of real issues that need innovative solutions.

Our preferred candidates will also:

  • Have a relevant tertiary engineering qualification, or appropriate building assessment experience
  • Have a good understanding of building codes and theory, project management
  • Be inquisitive and analytical in nature
  • Be solutions focused with a 'can-do attitude', looking to provide effective value-added outcomes
  • Have strong communication and reporting skills
  • Have a high commitment to quality, HSE and environmental management
  • Be self-motivated and driven towards commercial success
