A key leadership role in a progressive and growing business, in sunny Nelson is now available.
Reporting to the CEO and being an integral part of the leadership team, you will primarily be responsible for the overall finance function for the business. As CFO you will be a key contact for the Board which includes our owner as Chairman. You will also manage a small team of people to achieve exceptional business results in an ever changing and dynamic environment.
Ensuring the finance function is carried out effectively and in a timely manner whilst driving strong commercial thinking to optimise business performance is paramount in this role. Key responsibilities include strategic planning; financial reporting; forecasts and budgets; investment and commercial decision making; company secretarial and corporate compliance, treasury; risk management and insurance; and some elements of coordinating information technology work.
Ideally you will be ACA, CA or CPA qualified, hold a relevant tertiary qualification and have had previous experience as a CFO in mid to large size organisations, including working with a Board. A passion for retail will definitely be an advantage as this is absolutely a retail business The capability to provide hands-on leadership to a small yet quality driven team is essential. In addition strong strategic planning skills, commercial acumen, great interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute to the leadership team will be important.
This role could be available as a full time or part time opportunity.
