Manaaki Tāngata - Victim Support is a national organisation working to strengthen the mana and well-being of people affected by crime, trauma, and suicide in Aotearoa New Zealand. Advocacy for the rights of victims will always be an essential part of our work with individuals, organisations, and government agencies.

About the role | Mō te tūnga

We are now seeking a passionate Support Worker based in Gisborne. As a Support Worker, you will provide a front-line service through the ownership and management of support services to victims of crimes and traumatic situations. You will be required to have excellent communication skills and be able to work as a member of a team.

  • Do you have a full license and access to transport?
  • Are you able to work autonomously and as part of a team, yet also work independently and self-manage?

A Social Services relevant qualification would be an advantage.

Please note that you will be required to undergo pre-employment vetting by the NZ Police.
