We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and passionate Regional Construction Manager to take ownership and lead our high performing Construction division in Gisborne. Bring your strong civil construction and collaborative leadership experience to the fore and make this role your own.


Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

In this key leadership role, you'll work closely with the Regional Manager and wider Construction Managers to develop and implement strategies ensuring profitable growth across the business. You will be responsible for overall operational delivery of construction works within the Tairāwhiti region.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Influence and manage construction operations across the region ensuring business plans and strategies are achieved.
  • Encourage growth and development of direct reports including Project Managers and Project Engineers by setting clear targets and holding regular performance reviews.
  • Work with the Regional Manager to retain an enhance current business and develop capability to deliver on new business opportunities.
  • Provide clear and positive leadership and support across the construction team and associated operational teams ensuring successful delivery outcomes.

As an experienced Construction or Project Manager, you'll bring with you a proven record of putting people first through providing decisive and inclusive leadership to your teams and the wider business. You'll also have:

  • Strategic planning skills, focused on delivering BAU with excellence whilst growing our market
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Demonstrated capability in regards to financial and performance management
  • Extensive construction experience in delivering contracts including demonstrated capability in commercial acumen, project controls, programme management and resource planning.
