Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The purpose of the Transport Rebuild East Coast Alliance (TREC) is to restore the state highway and railway networks in the Hawkes Bay and Gisborne Regions impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle

In this fixed term position, you’ll work as a Design and Delivery Optimisation Lead to identify, quantify and implement opportunities that will enhance delivery efficiencies on the network. You will be responsible for liaison with TREC Design and Construction, and external works (i.e developers, SIP etc) to ensure the Maintenance and Operations (M&O) requirements are incorporated into design (Maintenance in Design), delivery is programmed to minimise impact on the customer, and ultimately optimise value of work delivered by TREC M&O

This position is based in our Gisborne office and is a great opportunity for a driven individual to make an important difference for the transport system in the East Coast region.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring

• Significant experience in contract management working with NZS3910
• Experience of relationship management, including contracting and expert dispute resolution capability
• Proven ability to influence and negotiate
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to deliver a strong customer focus culture
• Civil design capability and asset management experience
• Whole of life design philosophy
• An Engineering degree, or equivalent
