The Company

This niche, National, multidiscipline engineering consultancy is looking for a senior civil engineer with technical competence in the areas of land development and infrastructure works across old Rodney District through to rural Northland.

The Role

They have an exciting opportunity for someone who can operate as a senior civil design engineer and take the lead on land development projects.

The technical work will involve: Roading and Pavement Design, Stormwater and Wastewater Management, Infrastructure Inspections, Site Monitoring, Retaining Wall and Foundation Design.

Responsibilities

You could be at intermediate or senior status within your career and be looking for that next challenge taking on a design and project lead role. You will be managing multiple projects across the land development & infrastructure space for regional clients and help develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5yr+ experience in Civil Engineering design with a degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Moderate understanding of the multiple Engineering principles such as Geotechnical, Civil, and Water.
  • Strong design skills utilising AutoCAD & Civil 3D for multiple land development & infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to conduct site investigations to provide construction monitoring & provide reports accordingly.
  • Competent understanding & knowledge of NZ building codes, standards and practices (e.g. NZS3910).
  • Coordinate with contractors, clients & regulatory authorities.
  • Good English language skills (written & verbal).
  • CPEng is not required but would be an immediate advantage.
