We’re looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our Auckland team, partnering with Marketing, Sales and R&D to shape the future of some of New Zealand’s most loved food brands.

This is more than a traditional finance role. You’ll be at the heart of innovation, marketing investment and growth initiatives, challenging thinking, uncovering opportunities and helping turn great ideas into commercial results. Working with stakeholders across the business, you’ll bring financial insight, fresh perspectives and a strong commercial lens to decisions that matter.

What you will do

• Partner with Marketing, Sales and R&D leaders to shape commercial strategy and investment decisions.
• Lead financial modelling and business cases for innovation, new product development and growth initiatives.
• Challenge assumptions and influence investment decisions to maximise profitable growth.
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across innovation and marketing portfolios.
• Evaluate and track the return on investment of marketing, innovation and strategic growth initiatives.
• Present compelling recommendations that influence decisions and drive business performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve commercial processes, reporting and decision support.

What you will bring

• Proven experience in Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering.
• A CA, CPA or CIMA qualification, or working towards one.
• Strong commercial acumen, financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Confidence influencing stakeholders, challenging thinking and building trusted relationships.
• A proactive, adaptable mindset and the ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make financial insights meaningful to non-finance stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP, BW or other reporting tools.
• FMCG, manufacturing, retail or consumer goods experience highly desirable; Big Four experience advantageous.
