ASB Bank

Kia ora, Talofa lava, Kia Orana, Malo e lelei, Fakalofa lahi atu, Bula Vinaka and Namaste!

Here at ASB, the customer is at the heart of everything we do. Recognised as one of New Zealand's leading financial organisations, with a united and talented workforce, we are continuously evolving against a backdrop of rapidly changing customer needs, regulations, and technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Strategy team as we continue to strengthen how ASB turns strategy into execution. Our expanding Strategy function brings together corporate strategy, planning and performance, and Enterprise Execution & Change (EEC), creating greater connectivity between our strategic priorities and how change is planned, sequenced and delivered across the bank.

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

We are looking a Senior Manager – Enterprise Execution & Change to play a key role in bringing ASB's strategic and material change priorities together into coherent, executable Enterprise Quarterly Packages.

You'll take ownership of a package from its initial formation through mobilisation, execution and ultimately closure, bringing together multiple outcomes, owners, delivery teams and dependencies. You'll help create clarity from complexity, ensuring everyone understands what needs to happen, why it matters and how the different pieces fit together.

Rather than being the person who solves every problem yourself, you'll bring the right people together, facilitate the conversations that unlock progress, and help leaders make informed decisions when priorities, capacity or dependencies compete.

As a Senior Manager – Enterprise Execution & Change, you will:

  • Lead the development of Enterprise Quarterly Packages from initial composition through to agreed readiness, mobilisation, execution and closure.
  • Translate enterprise priorities and complex information into a clear narrative, defined outcomes and an integrated pathway for delivery.
  • Work across outcome owners, delivery leaders, Business Units and enabling functions to align scope, ownership, measures, milestones, capacity and critical dependencies.
  • Facilitate complex discussions and bring stakeholders together to resolve issues, create alignment and move work forward.
  • Identify execution risks, constraints and dependencies early, ensuring they are addressed at the right level or escalated where enterprise intervention is required.
  • Develop options and recommendations where demand exceeds available capacity or difficult trade-offs need to be made.
  • Prepare concise, decision-focused material for ELT discussion, challenge and decision-making.
  • Maintain a strong view of package health and whether outcomes can be successfully delivered, adopted and sustained.

Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?

We're looking for someone who thrives in complexity and ambiguity and can turn a lot of moving parts into something clear, structured and actionable.

You'll Bring

  • Experience across strategy execution, portfolio management, transformation, programme delivery or enterprise change.
  • Strong experience working across complex, cross-functional environments and influencing without relying on formal authority.
  • Advanced strategic problem-solving skills and an ability to make sense of ambiguous or competing information.
  • Exceptional facilitation, stakeholder management and influencing skills, including confidence working with executive and senior leadership audiences.
  • The ability to bring stakeholders together around complex problems and facilitate the path towards a solution.
  • Strong commercial, customer and risk judgement, particularly when assessing competing priorities and trade-offs.
  • Excellent written and presentation capability, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, decision-focused material.
  • A neutral, enterprise-wide mindset and confidence constructively challenging assumptions while maintaining strong relationships.
