Kordia
Remote
Senior Platform Engineer - Dynamics 365 and Power Platform
For more than 65 years, Kordia has proudly kept New Zealanders and their businesses safe, connected and ready for the future. Operating across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific, we deliver mission-critical solutions spanning broadcasting, telecommunications infrastructure, maritime communications, cloud and cyber security. With a talented team of more than 450 experts, we’re trusted by many of New Zealand’s largest organisations to protect what matters most.
Ko tā mātou mahi – About the role
This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll help shape, build and improve the business applications that support how Kordia works with its customers and delivers services.
Working across Dynamics 365 CRM, Dataverse and Microsoft Power Platform, you’ll design and deliver practical, maintainable solutions that improve customer and employee experiences, streamline processes, strengthen data quality and help our teams work more effectively.
You’ll modernise legacy workflows, improve sales and customer processes, build applications and automation, and help identify practical opportunities to use AI. We’re looking for someone who can cut through complexity and deliver solutions that are simple, effective, and easy to support.
Just as importantly, you’ll become a trusted technical anchor for the platform. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand the core need behind a request, challenge where needed, explain options and trade-offs, and help teams land on solutions that create a consistent experience across the business.
Ko tō mahi – What you will do
Reporting to our Platform Lead, you’ll take ownership of solutions through design, delivery, and ongoing support. You’ll:
- Design, configure, develop and support Dynamics 365 CRM solutions across customer, sales, opportunity, product and commercial processes.
- Build model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate flows, Dataverse solutions and appropriate Power Pages experiences.
- Modernise legacy applications, forms and workflows, reducing manual hand-offs, duplicate entry and unnecessary complexity.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify priorities, and identify the right solution for the problem.
- Provide clear technical guidance, including options, risks and trade-offs, to support good decision-making.
- Design solutions with appropriate security, access controls, environment governance, and data protection practices.
- Design and deliver integrations between Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Azure, ServiceNow, SAP and other enterprise platforms.
- Identify practical opportunities to use capabilities such as Copilot Studio and AI Builder to improve business processes.
- Manage solutions through development, testing, and production using strong lifecycle management, source control, and deployment practices.
- Troubleshoot complex application, integration and automation issues and provide senior-level technical support.
- Set and promote technical standards, share knowledge and mentor others across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform delivery.
- Help create a consistent, supportable experience across applications and processes rather than solving each requirement in isolation.
Nā tōu rourou – What you will bring
We’re looking for someone with substantial recent, hands-on experience delivering Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform solutions in complex enterprise environments. You’ll bring:
- Strong hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Sales and/or other Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications, including solution design, configuration and customisation
- Deep capability across Dataverse, model-driven apps, canvas apps and Power Automate.
- Experience extending the platform using JavaScript, plug-ins, custom connectors or similar tools where needed.
- Strong integration and data experience, including APIs, authentication, data modelling, migration, error handling, and reconciliation.
- Practical application lifecycle management experience across environments, managed solutions, source control, pipelines, testing and production support.
- Experience applying Copilot Studio, AI Builder or comparable AI capabilities to real business processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with people across technical and non-technical teams.
- A pragmatic approach to problem solving, with the ability to identify the core business needs and avoid unnecessary complexity.
- Strong technical judgement and the ability to weigh up business needs, user experience, security, maintainability, and long-term support.
- The ability to explain technical options and trade-offs clearly and influence good decisions.
- The confidence to act as a trusted technical point of reference for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP, Microsoft 365, Azure or Workato would be advantageous.
