About Termius

Termius is a cross-platform SSH client used by millions of engineers worldwide. Secure synchronization keeps hosts, credentials, and settings available across desktop and mobile devices, helping engineers access and manage remote systems from anywhere. Our iOS and Android apps are full-fledged companions to the desktop experience, not lightweight add-ons.

We're looking for a Mobile Tech Lead / Architect to own the technical direction of Termius on both mobile platforms. You'll lead a distributed team of four engineers (2 iOS, 2 Android) across several countries.

What You Will Do

  • Own the mobile architecture and technical roadmap for iOS and Android, keeping both platforms consistent with each other and with the desktop product.
  • Lead and mentor the mobile team through code reviews, technical coaching, and clear engineering standards.
  • Stay hands-on: design and build complex features, and resolve critical issues on either platform when needed.
  • Improve the mobile foundation, including CI/CD, release processes, testing, crash monitoring, and incremental modernization of the existing codebase.
  • Bring modern engineering practices to the team, including AI-assisted development workflows that measurably improve delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience building and shipping complex production mobile apps, including in a technical leadership or architect role.
  • Deep expertise in at least one native platform (Android or iOS), and solid working knowledge of the other, enough to make architecture decisions, review code, and guide engineers on both.
  • Strong debugging, testing, and system-design skills.
  • Comfort navigating a large existing codebase and refactoring it incrementally without disrupting delivery.Pragmatic product judgment and clear communication.
  • Familiarity with networking, SSH, cryptography, or terminal emulation is a plus, but not required.

What We Offer

  • We provide employees with the necessary equipment to create a productive work environment
  • Remote work from time zones between GMT+4 and GMT+12, or relocation to New Zealand after the probation period.
  • Longevity benefits: paid vacation, sick leaves, and flexible timeoff.
  • A culture that encourages proactiveness, a fail-fast-learn-fast approach, and a sense of ownership.
