We are looking for a friendly and reliable

Bar Assistant to join our team at Burnham Military Camp on a part-time permanent basis.

This role offers

10 guaranteed hours per week, an immediate start, and the opportunity to work in a unique Defence environment. Additional hours may be available to support operational requirements.

You'll be part of a supportive team that values safety, teamwork, and wellbeing while helping create a welcoming experience for customers and building your hospitality skills.

Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities

• Prepare the bar for service and serve beverages professionally and responsibly.
• Provide friendly, welcoming and helpful service to every customer.
• Follow responsible service of alcohol requirements and company procedures.
• Process customer payments accurately using the cash register and point-of-sale system.
• Maintain clean, hygienic and well-organised bar, customer and storage areas.
• Assist with stocktaking, ordering, stock rotation and daily reconciliation of takings.

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

• Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
• Have previous bar, hospitality or customer service experience.
• Be friendly, reliable and enjoy working with people.
• Have strong communication and customer service skills.
• Be flexible, organised and able to work effectively under pressure.
• Take pride in maintaining high standards of health, safety and responsible service.
