Bring your engineering expertise to the forefront by shaping high quality, secure and maintainable software solutions that support Kiwibank's digital experiences. You'll act as a trusted technical expert within key areas of the codebase, solve complex technical challenges, contribute to architecture decisions, improve development practices and proactively address technical debt. Working in an Agile and DevOps environment, you'll champion CI/CD practices, build scalable cloud based solutions, embed quality, security, observability and traceability into delivery, mentor engineers, provide thoughtful code reviews and help teams work more effectively together. You'll play an important role in delivering reliable, high performing applications while driving continuous improvement across engineering practices.

For this role we're looking for a collaborative, technically strong software engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and helping others succeed. We would love to hear from you if you have experience in the following:

• Strong experience with C#, .NET, MSSQL, Postgres, AWS and Docker
• Proven ability to collaborate, motivate and support others within Agile and DevOps environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders
• Experienced in software engineering across relevant business and technical domains
• Proficient in cloud technologies and design principles for cloud based solutions
• Proven ability to write high quality, maintainable and scalable code
• Experienced in CI/CD practices and modern software delivery approaches
• Strong capability in debugging, optimisation and resolving complex technical issues
• Experienced in building secure, reliable and performance focused applications
• Confident in coaching, mentoring and supporting the development of other engineers
• Proficient in driving continuous improvement across development tools, processes and engineering practices
