Endura Mining is bringing the Snowy River Gold Mine into production on New Zealand's West Coast, with first gold targeted for late 2026. The operation comprises an underground mine feeding a modern surface processing facility (gravity recovery, intensive leach, and flotation) and an integrated waste landform (IWL) built on dry-stacked filtered tailings. We are building a capable, safety-led site team for the long term, grounded in our Safety, Health, Environment and Community principles.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Instrumentation Electrician to join our site team and play a key role in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and optimisation of critical plant equipment. This is a unique opportunity to be involved from the early stages of plant operations and help shape the reliability and performance of a modern gold processing facility.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems across the processing plant to ensure safe and reliable production.

Safety, Health, Environment & Community (SHEC)

  • Take personal responsibility for your own safety and that of those around you, intervening when you see unsafe work or conditions.
  • Work in accordance with all relevant New Zealand health, safety and environmental legislation, site permits, and Endura Mining policies, procedures and the site safety and health management system.
  • Identify, report and help control hazards; participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and demonstrate behaviours aligned with Endura Mining's values.
  • Ensure all electrical work is carried out in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and site standards and specifications.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting hazards and eliminating risk-taking behaviours.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in your work area at all times.

Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance

  • Maintain, inspect and repair instrumentation, electrical, and control systems.
  • Fault-find and diagnose PLC, SCADA, VSD, motor control, and instrumentation issues.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Support commissioning and optimisation of new process plant equipment.
  • Calibrate and maintain instruments including flow, pressure, level, temperature, and analytical devices.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical teams to maximise plant performance.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety standards and statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and reliability projects.

Teamwork, Contractors & Continuous Improvement

  • Work cooperatively within the maintenance team to meet or better plant availability targets.
  • Supervise and coordinate electrical contractors engaged on site.
  • Complete assigned work and associated paperwork efficiently and accurately.
  • Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of safety, efficiency and cost.
  • Actively participate in training and keep inductions and competencies current.

About you

  • NZ Registered Electrician qualification (EWRB registration preferred).
  • Electrical Service Technician or Instrumentation qualification advantageous.
  • Experience in processing plants, mining, heavy industry, manufacturing, or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and control networks.
  • Experience working with PLCs, SCADA systems, VSDs, MCCs, and process instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics.
