We are seeking a qualified

Electrician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical and instrumentation systems across the Snowy River processing plant and associated infrastructure. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment plant-wide.

This is a hands-on role in a small, multi-skilled maintenance team at a new operation. It suits a practical, flexible tradesperson who is comfortable working across a wide range of electrical and instrumentation tasks and happy to pitch in where needed.

Safety, Health, Environment & Community (SHEC)

  • Take personal responsibility for your own safety and that of those around you, intervening when you see unsafe work or conditions.
  • Work in accordance with all relevant New Zealand health, safety and environmental legislation, site permits, and Endura Mining policies, procedures and the site safety and health management system.
  • Identify, report and help control hazards; participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and demonstrate behaviours aligned with Endura Mining's values.
  • Ensure all electrical work is carried out in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and site standards and specifications.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting hazards and eliminating risk-taking behaviours.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in your work area at all times.

Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance

  • Maintain all electrical equipment across the process plant, water treatment, tailings and associated infrastructure.
  • Inspect, service, adjust, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Performance-test equipment before returning it to service to ensure safe, efficient operation.
  • Support instrumentation and process control systems across the plant.

Teamwork, Contractors & Continuous Improvement

  • Work cooperatively within the maintenance team to meet or better plant availability targets.
  • Supervise and coordinate electrical contractors engaged on site.
  • Complete assigned work and associated paperwork efficiently and accurately.
  • Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of safety, efficiency and cost.
  • Actively participate in training and keep inductions and competencies current.

About you

  • A recognised electrical trade qualification, with a current practising licence (or eligibility to obtain one in New Zealand).
  • Experience in heavy industrial or mining electrical maintenance and installation.
  • A genuine commitment to working safely and looking out for your teammates.
  • Ability to work safely from procedures, permits and isolation systems.
  • Flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks within a small maintenance team.
