Investor Compliance Specialist

Hunter Campbell

Remote

Icehouse Ventures

Hunter Campbell is currently supporting Icehouse Ventures to secure their next Investor Compliance Specialist.

Icehouse Ventures is Aotearoa’s largest and most active early-stage technology investor, and plays a key role in NZ Inc. Having backed more than 400 New Zealand-founded companies, the team helps Kiwi founders grow their businesses and take them to the global stage.

This is not a corporate environment. Icehouse Ventures is a close-knit, collaborative team where success is shared and no one person is bigger than the group. The pace is quick, the energy is high, and the people are driven by a real belief in what they are building. It is a genuinely fun place to work, and everyone is on board with their mission of being transformative investors in transformative Kiwi tech companies.

The Role

The position of Investor Compliance Specialist works directly with investors to ensure accurate and compliant onboarding, and that everyone receives an exceptional experience.

You will own the end-to-end investor onboarding process, ensuring compliance with AML/CFT, FATCA/CRS and New Zealand’s wholesale investor regime. You will be a key point of contact for investor queries and support, working closely with colleagues in finance, legal and the investment teams. Beyond onboarding, you will keep the investor base compliant over time, including remediation and the annual FATCA/CRS reporting cycle. You will also handle investor administration requests such as share transfers and statement queries, and complete compliance checks on portfolio companies and key people before capital is deployed.

The business never stands still, and neither will this role. Icehouse Ventures is constantly refining how it works, and you will be supported to develop new ideas, embrace new technology and shape better ways of doing things.

What You Will Bring

You will bring at least two years’ experience in an AML/KYC-focused role, whether in banking, financial services, fund administration, a registry or a regulated investment platform, along with a working understanding of FATCA/CRS obligations. Familiarity with New Zealand’s wholesale investor framework is helpful but not required. You will also be a self-starter: energetic, warm, and able to take ownership.

Just as important is how you work. You will be adaptable, curious and comfortable in a business that moves fast and evolves often. You will communicate clearly and warmly with investors and take pride in getting things right.

What’s On Offer

  • Career growth within a market-leading investment firm.
  • Broad exposure to many aspects of investor compliance.
  • A close-knit, supportive team where your contribution is valued.
