About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Faultperson to join our team. In this role, you'll be on the front line responding to faults across the electricity distribution network, restoring power safely and efficiently, and helping keep our communities connected.

You'll carry out HV switching, fault investigation, testing and earthing of equipment, planned and unplanned network switching, and provide emergency response support when required. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, and you'll work closely with Control, Dispatch, emergency services, customers, and other operational teams to deliver outstanding service.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, puts safety first, and enjoys solving problems under pressure. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact while working with a supportive team that values professionalism, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Current electrical registration
  • Full Class 2 driver’s licence
  • At least 5 years' experience as an Electrician or Line Mechanic
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience
  • Previous fault response, standby, or switching experience (highly desirable)
  • Crane and EPV operating experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in the field
  • A genuine commitment to health and safety
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A proven track record of working safely and maintaining high-quality standard
