About The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Purchasing / Procurement professional to join their Supply Chain team on an initial 3-month contract and help support the team through the implementation of a new Supplier Relationship Management platform.

This is not a technical systems role. The system provider is managing the technical implementation, but the business needs someone internally who can take ownership of everything around it, pull together the moving parts and keep the project moving.

Alongside supporting the wider Purchasing function, you’ll work across internal stakeholders, suppliers and the system provider, ensuring actions are completed, information and data are gathered, timelines are maintained and everyone remains accountable.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Supporting the wider Purchasing team across day-to-day priorities
• Taking ownership of the internal delivery of the supplier systems implementation
• Coordinating internal stakeholders, suppliers and the system provider
• Driving project timelines, actions, follow-ups and deliverables
• Collating supplier data and information required for implementation
• Supporting testing, UAT and implementation readiness
• Following up, challenging and holding stakeholders accountable where required
• Identifying issues early and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks

About You

• Strong Purchasing or Procurement experience, ideally within FMCG, retail, hospitality or another fast-paced consumer environment
• Previous involvement in a systems implementation, transformation or similar project
• Exceptional stakeholder management across both internal and external parties
• Strong supplier relationship management experience
• Highly organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
• Confident chasing actions and holding people accountable
• Able to walk into an active project, quickly understand what needs doing and run with it
• Strong communication skills and a genuinely hands-on approach
• Current NZ working rights and immediate availability
