Mō Te Tūranga - About The Role

As a Senior Manager, Operational Resilience in our Operational Risk & Resilience Centre of Excellence, you'll play a key role in strengthening ANZ New Zealand's operational resilience capability and ensuring we meet evolving regulatory requirements, including BS11.

You'll provide enterprise-wide leadership across operational risk and resilience, helping shape implementation of frameworks, governance and risk practices that support sustainable business outcomes. Working closely with business leaders, specialist risk teams and Group stakeholders, you'll help drive resilience uplift initiatives and support the implementation of ANZ's Non-Financial Risk operating model.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like

You’ll provide enterprise-wide leadership, advice and oversight across operational risk and resilience. You’ll work with stakeholders across ANZ to identify risks, understand interdependencies and strengthen the controls and practices that help the bank prepare for and respond to disruption.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Helping deliver the Operational Risk and Resilience strategy, priorities and roadmap across ANZ New Zealand.
• Supporting consistent implementation of frameworks, standards and regulatory requirements across business units.
• Providing clear risk insights, reporting and recommendations to senior leaders and governance forums.
• Providing constructive oversight and challenge across resilience plans, supplier arrangements, risk assessments, remediation and significant change initiatives.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Deep experience in operational risk, resilience, compliance or regulatory risk.
• Experience leading complex risk, resilience or regulatory uplift initiatives.
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to provide credible advice, oversight and challenge to senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into practical outcomes.
• The ability to lead the development of an inclusive workplace culture and engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualifications in business, law, risk or a related field. Professional certifications in risk, compliance or analytics would also be highly regarded.
