We have an exciting 5-6 month fixed-term maternity leave cover opportunity for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Advisor based in Wiri, Auckland.

Reporting to the Director of Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you'll be a trusted advisor across our New Zealand Logistics, Commercial and Office teams, helping bring our vision of "Safe and Well Everyone Every Day" to life.

This is a varied and influential role where you'll partner with leaders and Health & Safety Representatives (HSRs), providing practical guidance, coaching and support to strengthen health, safety and well-being capability across the business.

You will play a key role in supporting HSW initiatives, risk management activities, compliance programmes and continuous improvement projects, ensuring safe work practices are embedded into day-to-day operations .

Key Responsibilities

• Providing practical health, safety and wellbeing advice, coaching and support to leaders and HSRs
• Supporting risk assessments, hazard management processes and risk registers
• Assisting with incident investigations, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting contractor management and procurement activities from an HSW perspective
• Monitoring legislative changes and helping ensure compliance across the business
• Delivering and facilitating HSW training and awareness programmes
• Supporting HSW reporting, metrics and communications
• Contributing to audit programmes and management system improvements
• Championing a positive safety culture through visible leadership and stakeholder engagement

You're a collaborative and proactive health and safety professional who enjoys building relationships, coaching others and influencing positive change.

To Be Successful, You'll Bring

• Experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing advisory or coordination role
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• The ability to coach leaders and support behavioural change
• Sound understanding of New Zealand health and safety legislation and best practice
• Experience supporting risk management and hazard identification processes
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• A passion for creating safe, healthy and high-performing workplaces
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

Ideally, You'll Also Bring

• Experience within logistics, warehousing, transport or distribution environments
• FMCG industry experience
• Knowledge of contractor management and safe work systems
• A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
