The Opportunity

This is a hands-on commercial finance role with genuine influence.

As our Finance Business Partner – Animal Management, you'll become a trusted finance partner to regional leadership across NZ, Australia and LATAM, owning the P&L story and bringing clarity to the commercial drivers behind performance.

You'll dive into margin, pricing, discounting, forecasting and profitability - challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities and making complex financial information useful for the people making business decisions.

You'll also have the chance to build, not just maintain. With plenty of scope to improve existing processes, you'll help establish stronger commercial governance around margin, deal approvals, rebates and forecasting, while using AI and modern tools to make finance smarter and more efficient.

Working across Finance, Sales, Pricing, eShepherd, Power BI and regional leadership, you'll have a broad view of the business and a real opportunity to make your mark.

You'll be responsible for

• Partnering with regional leaders across NZ, Australia and LATAM to drive commercially informed decisions
• Owning the P&L story, including revenue, margin, FX, mix, cost to serve and discounting
• Delivering budgets, forecasts and scenario modelling - and challenging assumptions where needed
• Identifying margin leakage and strengthening pricing, discounting and commercial controls
• Building practical processes and governance where they don't yet exist
• Providing analysis for customers, products, promotions and investment decisions
• Supporting eShepherd and wider Animal Management initiatives through commercial modelling and performance insight
• Using AI, Power BI and modern finance tools to improve analysis, reporting and decision-making

The Fit

You're a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys getting beyond the numbers. You can move comfortably from detailed financial analysis to a conversation with a senior leader, turning complex information into clear insights and practical action.

You'll Also Bring

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline
• CA, CPA or CIMA qualification
• Proven experience in commercial finance or finance business partnering
• Strong P&L and margin analysis experience within a product-based business
• Experience building or improving commercial processes and controls
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
• A hands-on, pragmatic approach and the ability to thrive in a changing environment
• An interest in using AI and technology to improve how finance works

Experience with SAP, Power BI, multi-country/multi-currency environments, LATAM, agritech, FMCG, manufacturing or technology-enabled products would be advantageous.
