About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Business Partner to join our collaborative and engaged team, partnering leaders within our Villages and Support Office as well as Executives. As an experienced and commercially minded Business Partner, you will operate across generalist People responsibilities, balancing strategic thinking with execution and hands-on support.

This role works closely with leaders to deliver practical and integrated people solutions, build leadership capability, and support strong people and business outcomes. You will provide expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle, including employment relations, remuneration and performance whilst driving people initiatives in the engagement, talent management and learning & capability space.

Key responsibilities will include

• Partner with leaders, providing trusted advice and coaching on a broad range of people matters.
• Build leadership capability through coaching and development, enabling managers to confidently lead and support their teams.
• Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, performance, wellbeing and retention.
• Lead and support employment relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, performance management, grievances, restructures and conflict resolution.
• Contribute to People projects and initiatives that support business growth, change and continuous improvement.
• Use people insights and data to inform decision-making and drive strong people and business outcomes.

About you

With a strong generalist background and commercial focus, you are a trusted and experienced business partner who works closely with leaders to navigate people challenges, strengthen capability, and challenge traditional ways of thinking to deliver better outcomes for both people and the business.

You are someone who works well with structure and can operate in the ‘grey’ and forge a path forward where one doesn’t already exist. Problem solving is your forte, as is making proactive recommendations that evolve the ways we work, and how the People Business Partnering team deliver value to the business.

Please note, there will be the requirement to have the flexibility to travel to Hamilton or BOP approx. two nights away per month.
