Position Description

Ainley Group is currently seeking a motivated Intermediate/Junior Revit Designer for our Mississauga or Collingwood Office. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of progressive experience of delivering AutoCAD/Revit drawings for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.

As the successful candidate, you will use your technical abilities to prepare design and construction contract drawings for municipal infrastructure projects in a dynamic team setting.

The Specifics Of The Position Are As Follows

Responsibilities and Duties

• Preparing engineering drawings for all infrastructure components associated with Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants in CAD/Revit adhering to appropriate BIM/CAD Design Standards.
• Provide technical support for all CAD/Revit software.
• Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions.
• Work with engineers, technicians and other team members to complete projects in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of engineering and CAD/Revit standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Civil / Construction Management design-related education (diploma) OR a certificate / diploma in computer drafting (AutoCAD and/or Revit).
• Minimum of four years of experience for a junior position and greater than six years for Intermediate, delivering 2D & 3D AutoCAD / Revit Drawings relating to water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Excellent practical knowledge of using Civil 3D including, but not limited to, preparation of Civil 3D surface from survey data, creating alignments, plan & profiles, sections & details, assemblies & sub-assemblies, corridors, and pipe network utilizing Xref and Data Shortcuts features.
• Excellent practical knowledge of using Revit including, but not limited to, creating and setting up template files, layout and arrangement of MEP families, workset and filter creation and management, Revit-to-AutoCAD file conversion and export, and family model creation.
• Working knowledge on MicroStation, ReCap, InfraWorks would be an asset.
• Familiarity with various municipal and provincial design and drafting standards.
• Independent, organized, resourceful, and motivated team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.7 years of experience relating to the design and construction administration of Municipal Water and Wastewater Infrastructure projects.

Compensation: $35 – $56 per hour with an estimated 1,950 hours per year.

Final compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s specialized experience and technical skill set. While the provided range serves as a general baseline, we take a holistic approach to defining final offers.
