Senior Manager – Risk Governance, Personal Banking

We have an opportunity for an experienced risk professional to lead our Personal Banking Governance team. This is a key leadership role focused on providing strong governance, clear risk reporting and meaningful insights that help Personal Banking make well-informed decisions.

Te Tūranga | The role

As Senior Manager, Risk Governance, you'll lead the Personal Banking Governance team and play a key role in strengthening how risk is managed across the division. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you'll provide high-quality governance, reporting and insights that support effective decision making and positive customer outcomes.

In This Role, You'll

• Lead governance and risk reporting for Personal Banking, ensuring key committees and decision-making forums operate effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement in governance practices, risk reporting and management processes.
• Build strong partnerships across the business to strengthen risk capability, culture and accountability.
• Lead, coach and develop a team while contributing to the wider Risk team's strategy and priorities.

This is a great opportunity to shape how risk governance is delivered across Personal Banking while leading a capable team and working closely with senior stakeholders.

• Experience in risk, compliance, governance or a related discipline within financial services.
• Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders.
• Strong people leadership skills, with a passion for developing others.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to turn complex information into clear and meaningful insights.
• Experience applying risk and regulatory frameworks in a practical business environment.
• A proactive mindset, strong judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
