Description of the role

We are looking for an intermediate accountant to take ownership of a growing client portfolio and support both compliance and advisory work.

This is a role designed for someone who wants to step up, not stay static - with clear support to grow into a senior position over time.

This role plays a key part in supporting team capacity, improving workflow efficiency, and enhancing client turnaround times as we continue to grow.

What makes you ‘just right’

• Solid grounding in compliance (financial statements and tax)
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple jobs
• Confident communicator, with the willingness to engage with clients (with support) and contribute to discussions beyond pure compliance
• Interest in technology and tools (including AI) to improve efficiency and workflow
• A mindset focused on learning, improvement, and progression

What your day might look like

• Manage a client portfolio, supported by juniors, seniors, and managers
• Develop confidence in client communication, working alongside partners and managers
• Deliver compliance work efficiently and accurately (financial statements, tax returns, GST)
• Contribute to client discussions beyond compliance, supporting advisory work
• Help improve turnaround times and reduce workflow pressure across the team
