Join our Auckland Maintenance Team – Afternoon Shift
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trade Assistant to join our Auckland maintenance team on a permanent afternoon shift roster from 2:00pm to 11:30pm. In this role, you will support the maintenance and reliability of plant and equipment, helping to maximise operational efficiency, productivity, and safety across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for plant and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
- Follow routine maintenance schedules and accurately complete maintenance records and documentation.
- Assist production team members with operational and general support duties as required.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with site safety, environmental, and quality standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a maintenance or trade support role within an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with operations teams and adapt to changing maintenance priorities.
- Experience working with heavy equipment, including exposure to hydraulics, welding, and conveyor systems.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Desirable Skills And Experience
The following will be highly regarded:
- Current Forklift Licence.
- Knowledge and understanding of engineering and maintenance processes.
- Experience working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
