Are you experienced in project management or leadership and passionate about helping others develop practical skills they can use in the workplace?
Skills Group is looking for an Industry Trainer – Business (Project Management & Leadership) to join us on a full-time,
12-month fixed-term basis. You'll work in a hybrid delivery model, primarily delivering online with one day per week based at our Wiri campus in Auckland.
This role is primarily focused on delivering high-quality, applied training across our project management and leadership programmes. You'll facilitate online learning, assess learner work and provide ongoing academic and pastoral support to help learners successfully progress through their programmes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging online training across project management and leadership programmes, using practical, workplace-based scenarios to bring learning to life.
- Mark learner assessments and provide clear, constructive feedback that supports understanding and achievement.
- Provide academic support throughout the learner journey, helping learners understand programme requirements and apply their learning effectively.
- Support learner engagement and wellbeing, including onboarding and proactively supporting learners who may be at risk.
- Monitor learner progress and provide regular reporting on engagement and achievement.
- Maintain current project management and leadership knowledge and contribute to programme improvement where appropriate.
What You'll Bring
- Practical project management and/or leadership experience gained within a workplace setting.
- A qualification relevant to Project Management and/or Leadership at Level 6 or above, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and skills, to meet programme assessment requirements.
- A qualification in adult education and training, be working towards one, hold a teaching qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills.
- Hold Unit Standard 4098 or be willing to obtain it with Skills Group's full support.
- Confidence facilitating groups of adult learners, with strong communication and organisational skills. Online training experience and experience across a range of industries would be advantageous.
