We are looking for a passionate Chef to join our team at CHT Te Awamutu in a permanent part-time role, working a guaranteed

16 hours per week.

Ko o Kawenga / Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, portion and present high-quality meals
  • Cater for residents’ dietary, nutritional and cultural requirements
  • Maintain high food quality, presentation and portion control standards
  • Receive, rotate and store kitchen supplies correctly
  • Keep the kitchen, equipment and work areas clean and sanitised
  • Follow all food safety, infection control, hygiene and health and safety procedures

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

  • Hold an NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or an equivalent qualification
  • Have previous cooking experience in a similar environment
  • Understand food safety, hygiene and special dietary requirements
  • Have strong communication skills and a professional approach
  • Be reliable, flexible and able to work independently or within a team
  • Be physically fit and able to satisfactorily pass a Police Clearance check
