At Omnicom Media, we support some of New Zealand’s most renowned media businesses including OMD, PHD and Initiative Aotearoa. Backed by Omnicom's global scale we help our agency brands, clients, partners and people build opportunities for growth.

We’re looking for an Activation Assistant to join our high-performing Omnicom Media Activation team in Auckland. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone who is hungry to learn, naturally analytical and keen to build a career in digital media. You’ll gain hands-on exposure across paid social, paid search and programmatic, working with experienced activation specialists and some of New Zealand’s largest advertisers.

What you'll be doing

As an Activation Assistant, you’ll support the team in delivering high-quality digital campaigns across multiple channels. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with the setup and management of digital campaigns across programmatic and paid social.
  • Work across platforms including Google, Meta, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn.
  • Collect, process and analyse campaign data.
  • Support regular campaign reporting and help turn data into useful insights.
  • Assist the Activation Executive and Manager with recommendations to improve campaign performance.
  • Ensure campaigns and deliverables are accurate, organised and completed on time.
  • Support proposals and case studies through data collection and research.
  • Build your technical knowledge through training, self-learning and on-the-job experience.
  • Work with internal teams, publishers, technology partners, clients and creative partners.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing and the wider activation community.

You won’t be expected to know everything on day one. What matters most is your curiosity, attention to detail and willingness to learn.

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role you are a recent graduate, have completed an internship, or have 1 years+ experience in digital marketing, media, advertising or a related environment.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A genuine interest in digital media, technology and advertising
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • A logical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Confident and passionate about working with data and numbers
  • Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Exposure to platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Analytics, DV360 or Salesforce
  • A proactive can-do attitude and willingness to ask questions
  • A genuine desire to learn new platforms, technology and ways of working

Experience through an internship, graduate role or placement within a digital agency, media agency, publisher, trading desk, ad-tech business or digital marketing team would be advantageous.

Why join us?

Join Omnicom Media, a global media business where you’ll have the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry and build a strong foundation for your career in digital activation.

The person we're looking for
