Casual Announcer – Newstalk ZB

Newstalk ZB is seeking a confident and engaging Announcer to provide cover for a range of our programmes.

This role is ideal for an experienced broadcaster, or an emerging talk radio talent, who thrives in live environments and enjoys connecting with our listeners.

Your Next Opportunity

This role can be Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington or Christchurch based.

You’ll be keen and able to work across a range of programmes as required – from Overnights to holiday and weekend shows. You’ll keep New Zealand informed and entertained through thoughtful conversation, breaking news, interviews and live callers.

How You’ll Make It Happen

• A strong, warm on-air presence with excellent communication skills
• Confidence handling live talkback and engaging a diverse audience
• The ability to think quickly and respond calmly to unexpected situations
• A solid awareness of news, current affairs and issues relevant to New Zealanders
• Flexibility and availability for overnight shifts, including at short notice
• Previous radio or audio experience is preferred
