About the Role

MAS is looking for a Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team on a 13-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll help bring our purpose, voice and values to life through high-quality communications that engage our Members and support a range of business initiatives. The role can be based in Wellington or Auckland and reports to the Content Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit and proofread engaging content for Member communications, website articles and campaigns.
  • Coordinate, manage and execute business-as-usual communications and key corporate initiatives such as the AGM and Annual Report.
  • Help maintain MAS's tone of voice and writing standards across all communications.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, digital and compliance stakeholders to deliver high-quality content.
  • Review and optimise communications to improve member engagement and effectiveness.

Qualifications

At least 3 years' experience in communications, content or marketing roles with a strong writing focus.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience creating content for multiple audiences and channels.
  • Knowledge of plain language principles and accessibility standards.
  • Experience using content management systems, email marketing platforms and digital publishing tools.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
