Are you an experienced finance leader who thrives on partnering at GM level, leading high-performing teams, and driving organisational performance? We are seeking an accomplished Head of Finance to lead a team of Finance Business Advisors, providing strategic financial insight and guidance across a large and complex organisation.
This is a key leadership role improving commercial and financial performance and identifying opportunities for greater operational efficiency.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
In this role you will lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality financial advice, management reporting, planning, and performance insights across our CSD & D&T teams.
As a trusted advisor and part of the CSD and D&T leadership teams, you'll translate financial data into meaningful business recommendations, enabling informed decision-making and supporting the achievement of strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Finance Business Partners.
- Partnering with General Managers and senior leaders to drive financial and operational performance.
- Providing strategic financial advice that supports business planning and investment decisions.
- Leading annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Driving cost efficiency and value-for-money initiatives across the organisation.
- Overseeing management reporting and financial performance reporting frameworks.
- Delivering insightful analysis on financial results, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships across executive and leadership teams.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and commercial thinking within the finance function.
Mōu - About You
We are looking for a commercially focused finance leader with proven experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading business advisory teams in a complex environment.
You'll Have
- A recognised accounting qualification (CA or equivalent).
- Significant experience in finance business partnering, commercial finance, or financial advisory leadership roles.
- Proven success leading teams of Finance Business Partners or similar.
- Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance management.
- Strong expertise in management reporting and financial performance reporting.
- Demonstrated success identifying and implementing cost optimisation and efficiency initiatives.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at GM and Executive level.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
- Experience operating within large, complex organisations.
