Te Tūranga | The role
As a Customer Specialist in our Direct Channels Contact Centre, you'll be the voice of ASB for customers across New Zealand.
Every day you'll support customers with their banking needs, answer enquiries, solve problems, and help create simple and easy banking experiences. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact through every customer interaction.
We'll set you up for success with a comprehensive training programme, ongoing coaching, and support from an experienced and collaborative team.

Previous banking experience is helpful but not essential. We're more interested in your attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for delivering great customer experiences.
Please consider the following before applying
- You must be available to attend a one-day Assessment Centre on 7 October 2026 at ASB's South Island Regional Centre, 166 Cashel Street, Christchurch, from 9.00am to 2.00pm.
- If successful, you must be available to start on 23 November 2026.
- You must be able to commit to a 12-week full-time training and induction programme, delivered on-site, five days per week.
- This is a 40-hour per week rostered position.
- Shifts operate between 8.00am and 8.00pm Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 5.00pm on weekends and public holidays.
