About The Opportunity

Join a busy team in a hands-on, full-time role with variety and purpose.

Our Tauranga branch is bustling and due to growing demand, we'll looking for an all-rounder to join our busy Trade Sales and Inwards Goods team. There will be the occasional delivery as well! This role is perfect for someone reliable, physically capable, and eager to be part of a supportive, hard-working environment.

At Plumbing World, we work in partnership with our customers and the team, so you will have the ability and enjoy helping out wherever needed, this could involve serving customers on the trade counter, answering phones and emails, helping in the warehouse or even doing the odd delivery.

Plumbing World is committed to our customer service promise, and we are focused on exceeding customers' expectations, so it's all hands-on deck at the trade counter before 9:00 am no matter your role in the branch, this is to ensure customers are looked after straight away and they get what they need to start their day.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Serving at the trade counter, ensuring customers get what they need to get their day started.
• Assisting with inventory and inwards goods.
• Delivering products to sites and building strong relationships with our customers.
• Picking and packing customer orders.
• Conducting cycle counts and stock replenishment.
• Carrying out general warehousing and housekeeping duties.
• Ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.
• Supporting other areas of the branch as needed.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week on a rostered basis.

Specific start and finish times will be discussed during the interview stage.

• Physically fit - comfortable with some heavy lifting (up to 20kgs)
• Positive attitude - keen to learn and help wherever needed.
• Flexible and reliable - willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in!
• A hands-on team player - ready to load the truck and meet customers on-site.
• Trade knowledge is a bonus, but not essential - we'll teach you what you need to know!

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
• Excellent customer sales & service skills.
• Reliable with a great attitude.
• Good time management.
• Sound computer skills is essential with some knowledge in Word and Excel.
• Work well under pressure while displaying good sound logic.
• Customer Focus is a must!
• Physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting (up to 20kgs)
• Full, clean New Zealand drivers' licence.
• A valid forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
• Pride in personal appearance with great interpersonal skills.
