We’re looking for dynamic and motivated individual to coach jobseekers on their journey to employment. This is your chance to make a real impact by helping young people build confidence, develop essential skills, and overcome barriers to work. If you have experience in youth work, recruitment, sales, social services or any other relevant experience, we want to hear from you!

What you'll do

  • Provide support and guidance to young people into employment
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to support youth in identifying their strengths and career goals
  • Help young people navigate challenges relating to circumstances that may impact their employment journey.
  • Meeting your clients that are referred from Work and income and focusing on work first employment pathways leading to financial independence.
  • Creating meaningful connections with local employers and businesses, government & industry/sector partners, and other providers to seize golden work opportunities for our jobseekers.
  • Getting to know your jobseekers, understanding their stories, and fostering trust so that you can effectively help them gain mahi. aligned with their goals, experience and strengths.
  • Helping jobseekers upskill by identifying training needs for their chosen industry/sector and liaising with training providers to gain short course certification.

Your background

  • Current full NZ driver’s licence
  • Our Employment Consultants are selected from a wide range of careers -- including recruitment, social services, sales, business development, government and industry.
  • Life skills, enthusiasm to help people, grit & resilience, and the ability to bring the best out of people are key attributes we look for.
  • You will need to be self-driven, even entrepreneurial in your approach.
