Tyre Fitter – BMW Canterbury

Responsibilities

  • Perform tyre fitting and wheel balancing on various models of cars.
  • Evaluate tyres for wear, damage, and inflation issues, providing accurate assessment and recommendations when necessary.
  • Confidently operate workshop machinery and tyre fitting equipment.
  • Source and order tyres from preferred suppliers, manage order pipelines and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment compliant with brand standards.

Requirements

  • Prior tyre fitting experience is highly desirable, but candidates with a mechanical background outside the tyre industry will be considered.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine enthusiasm for high-quality vehicle maintenance.
  • Ability to comfortably manage the physical demands of a busy workshop, including lifting heavy components.
  • Absolute commitment to accuracy, precision and vehicle safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with workshop staff, advisors and customers.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt to new workshop technologies, and follow evolving automotive industry trends.
  • A valid driver's license.

This is a full-time position of 42.5 hours per week. Standard hours of work will be 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
