Demand planning, with a commercial twist…

James Crisp has been part of New Zealand’s food industry for more than 100 years, representing and supplying some of the brands and ingredients you’ll find in kitchens, supermarkets and food manufacturers across the country.

They’re now looking for someone to join their Parnell-based ingredients team in a role that sits at the intersection of demand planning, contract management, supply chain and customer relationships.

The Role

You’ll manage demand planning for both James Crisp and the customers they supply, making sure the right product is in the right place at the right time.

But this isn’t a traditional heads-down planning role.

Alongside forecasting, you’ll own contracts and pricing, keep across stock flow and incoming shipments, and work directly with customers to gather information, manage expectations and stay ahead of issues.

You’ll Be Across

• Demand planning and forecasting across food and commodity lines
• Contract management, pricing and blanket orders
• Stock flow, logistics, containers and ETAs
• Regular communication with existing customers and suppliers
• Identifying risks early and keeping things moving

What Matters Is The Combination. You’ll Bring

• Strong analytical skills and confidence in Excel
• Demand planning, forecasting or broader supply chain exposure
• A commercial mindset and genuine sense of ownership
• Strong communication and confidence dealing directly with customers
• A good understanding of stock flow and logistics
• Ideally, experience across food, FMCG, ingredients, produce or commodities

You’re someone who’s just as comfortable with people as you are with numbers, and enjoys being proactive rather than waiting for the next task.
