Records and Information Management helps ASB understand, protect, retain and dispose of the records and information that matter. It supports good decision-making, compliance, customer outcomes and the way teams work every day. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is curious, organised and eager to learn, grow and develop in an exciting and evolving area. You do not need to be an expert on day one. We are looking for someone with the right mindset, strong communication skills and a willingness to build capability over time.

Mō te tūranga | About the role
As a Record Management Analyst, you’ll learn how to partner with Record Owners, System Owners and teams across ASB to maintain accurate records artefacts, support defensible retention and disposal, and provide practical guidance that helps records and information management become clear, compliant, efficient and business-owned. This is a role for someone who wants to develop, be coached, and become part of a team helping ASB manage records and information well.
Key responsibilities
- Learn how Records Management supports ASB - Understand how records and information support ASB’s obligations, business processes and customer outcomes.
- Maintain important records artefacts - Help maintain records registers, ownership information and retention controls, with coaching and support.
- Support good recordkeeping - Provide practical guidance, education and support to business stakeholders so good recordkeeping becomes part of everyday work.
- Understand business processes and information assets - Help analyse processes, systems and information assets to identify recordkeeping requirements, risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities.
- Document decisions and evidence - Support defensible records management practices by documenting requirements, decisions, evidence, actions and governance outcomes.
- Identify and escalate risks early - Help identify Records Management risks, issues and improvement opportunities and escalate them with support.
- Contribute fresh thinking - Support continuous improvement of Records Management processes, controls, tools and operating practices across ASB.
