We're seeking a high-performing Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant to join our Companion Animal Group (CAG) sales team.
Covering the Lower North Island and the fly-in, fly-out region of Otago and Southland, you will be a trusted advisor to veterinary clinics, helping customers embrace cutting-edge diagnostic technologies that transform the way they care for their patients. Your ability to build strong relationships, understand customer needs, and deliver consultative solutions will directly contribute to the success of veterinary practices and the wellbeing of animals throughout the region.

In This Role
- You will drive sales growth by delivering integrated IDEXX diagnostic solutions to veterinary customers across your assigned territory.
- You will build and strengthen relationships with new and existing veterinary clinics, helping them achieve their business and clinical goals.
- You will identify new business opportunities and achieve new account acquisition targets.
- You will manage an established territory covering the lower North Island, including Wellington, Kapiti, Manawatu, and the East Coast, as well as the fly-in, fly-out region of Otago/Southland.
- You will develop and execute strategic territory plans, customer development plans, and account growth initiatives.
- You will present and demonstrate IDEXX products, laboratory services, and diagnostic innovations integrated through software to prospective and existing customers.
- You will leverage data, insights, and the broader IDEXX ecosystem to create value for customers and increase loyalty.
- You will maintain accurate customer records and sales activities within Salesforce CRM.
- You will collaborate closely with Customer Support, Marketing, Technical Support, and Reference Laboratory teams to deliver exceptional customer experience.
- You will attend industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and educational activities as required.
What You Need To Succeed
- You will bring 3+ years of success in sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing commercial roles.
- You will have a proven ability to build strong customer relationships and influence outcomes through a consultative sales approach.
- You will be highly motivated, result-driven, and comfortable working independently within a large geographic territory.
- You will possess excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- You will have strong planning, organizational, and territory management capabilities.
- You will be confident using CRM systems and leveraging data to drive customer outcomes.
- You will demonstrate a customer-first mindset, integrity, collaboration, and a passion for achieving results.
- Experience within the veterinary, animal health, healthcare, medical device, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or scientific sectors will be highly regarded.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
- You will hold a valid driver's licence and be willing to travel extensively throughout the territory.
