Large, PE-backed NZ infrastructure business with a national footprint, investing heavily to support its continued growth trajectory.
Role Summary
Reporting to the CFO, the Group Financial Controller leads financial reporting, controls, finance ops and compliance across a large, complex organisation, whilst delivering large scale finance transofrmation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own group financial reporting, statutory accounts and audit delivery
- Strengthen internal controls and balance sheet integrity across the business
- Oversee AP/AR, including insurance claims and revenue risk
- Partner with the planning function on budgeting and forecasting
- Provide payroll oversight, including transformation and compliance programmes
- Mentor graduate accountants through the CAANZ programme
Key Skills & Experience Required
- CA/CPA qualified; Big 4 background regarded
- 5+ years in senior finance leadership roles
- Strong technical background in reporting, controls and compliance
- Advanced ERP and financial systems experience
- Experience across payroll or large complex workforce environments, desirable
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and coaching skills
