About Foodco
At Foodco, we are passionate about creating great cafe experiences through strong partnerships and operational excellence. As the company behind leading cafe brands including Jamaica Blue and Muffin Break, we support our franchise partners to grow successful and profitable businesses.
We are proud of our diverse workforce, and what unites us are our EPIC values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Camaraderie - values that guide everything we do, every day.
An opportunity has become available for a motivated, relationship-focused person to join our Auckland team as Franchise Development Coordinator, helping to grow our New Zealand franchise network.
Your Role
This role is central to how we grow our network. You will own the franchisee journey from first enquiry through to a signed partner ready to onboard, acting as their main point of contact along the way and keeping the process moving. In this role you will:
- Manage the franchisee enquiry process end to end, from first contact and qualification through to conversion and handover.
- Identify and follow up new opportunities, including potential new sites, and keep the pipeline active.
- Coordinate recruitment and lead-generation activity to build a steady flow of prospective franchisees.
- Manage the franchisee application process, including applications, NDAs, and scheduling interviews with the GM and landlords as required.
- Prepare and issue Letters of Offer and Disclosure Documents to new and renewing franchisees, working with Legal.
- Coordinate the franchise and lease renewal lifecycle, including renewal reports and document flow, liaising with Legal, Finance, and Operations. Note: commercial negotiation sits with the GM; this role provides coordination and administrative support.
- Maintain Salesforce data integrity across store, lease, and franchisee records, and keep the pipeline tracker current.
- Provide general office administration and executive support to the General Manager, including diary, inbox, meeting, and travel coordination.
Experience and Skills
Ideally you have a background in business development, franchising, or a client-facing role where you have guided people through a process to a decision. You are self-motivated, well organised, and comfortable moving between relationship-focused work and detailed administration and coordination.
You will bring strong communication skills, confidence working with a CRM (Salesforce experience an advantage), and the accuracy to manage documents, records, and reporting reliably. Experience in franchising, hospitality, retail, or a similar multi-site environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
A track record in a business development, recruitment, or coordination role, ideally with some responsibility for targets or a pipeline, would be greatly advantageous.
Location
This position is office-based at our Auckland (Vernon Street) office, full-time.
