About The Role

Step into the role of Store/Operations Manager for Potters Interior Systems, Wellington branch (a NZ Division of CSR), where you will lead warehouse, customer service, and store operations to ensure efficient product flow and an exceptional customer experience. Your leadership will drive operational efficiency, service quality, and safety performance—supporting strong commercial outcomes and contributing to the overall success of our branch network.

This role is currently based in Petone, Wellington, with the branch scheduled to relocate to a new purpose-built site in Kaiwharawhara, Wellington in the next few weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the branch/trade store team, driving strong communication, performance, and a positive, safety‑focused culture.
  • Oversee daily operations including warehouse, customer service, and store activities to ensure efficient product flow and excellent customer experiences.
  • Manage inventory and stock processes such as stock levels, stocktakes, and cycle counts to maintain accuracy and availability.
  • Ensure WHSE, quality, and customer standards through compliance, issue resolution, and achieving on‑time, in‑full delivery targets.
  • Utilise the SAP system to manage inventory, stock movements, purchasing processes, and operational reporting, ensuring data accuracy and efficient workflow across both branches.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Experience in operational or warehouse/store leadership, with strong people skills and the ability to build rapport and lead a team.
  • Solid operational and commercial awareness, including stock management, inwards/outwards goods processes, and understanding of industry trends.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, supported by system capability and the ability to manage customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance, with good WHSE knowledge and the ability to uphold a safety‑first culture.
  • Experience within the trade/commercial sector (hardware, building products, industrial supplies).
