Te Tūranga | The role
The Customer Tribe plays a critical role in delivering smart, scalable solutions that make life easier for both our customers and our people. Working across a range of strategic initiatives, we leverage digital and automation capabilities, including platforms like Pega, to drive meaningful business outcomes.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be a key member of a cross-functional squad, partnering closely with Product Owners, Engineers, Operations teams and stakeholders across the business. You'll bring clarity to complexity, helping translate business needs into practical, customer-focused solutions that create value.
Some Of The Things You'll Be Responsible For Include
- Partnering with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business challenges and translate requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Analysing and mapping current and future state processes to identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve experiences.
- Working closely with technical teams to ensure requirements are understood, feasible and traceable through delivery.
- Identifying and managing risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID), helping ensure informed decision making.
- Supporting backlog refinement and prioritisation to ensure focus remains on delivering the highest value outcomes.
- Facilitating workshops, decision forums and collaborative discussions that drive alignment and clarity.
- Supporting testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business, customer, operational and regulatory requirements.
- Helping prepare teams for change through process updates, training and transition into business-as-usual operations.

You're an experienced Business Analyst who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. You're naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems and know how to bring people together to achieve outcomes.
You'll Bring
- Around 7+ years' experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis or a similar role within a complex environment.
- Strong experience with process modelling, requirements gathering, user stories, business rules and acceptance criteria.
- A proven track record of identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver practical, future-focused solutions.
- Experience identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies within delivery environments.
- The ability to engage confidently with engineers, architects and technical specialists on topics such as data, integrations and system behaviour.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence outcomes.
- Experience helping business teams understand and adopt new technologies, automation and digital capability.
- Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments and using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- A customer-focused mindset, strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering great outcomes.
Experience within financial services, regulated environments or large-scale transformation programmes would be advantageous but is not essential.
