Finance Business Partner

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partner, this position sits within a high-performing finance function and provides valuable financial analysis, insight, and advice to a range of stakeholders.

Working closely with senior finance leaders and business teams, you will contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities, prepare management reporting, analyse financial performance, identify trends and risks, and help support informed decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Supporting stakeholders with timely financial analysis and advice
• Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Preparing and maintaining accurate monthly management reporting
• Investigating variances and ensuring financial data integrity
• Producing insightful reporting on performance drivers, trends, and emerging risks
• Supporting responses to external financial information requests
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting
• Building effective relationships across the organisation to strengthen financial capability

Role Requirements

To Be Successful In This Position You Will Bring

• Tertiary qualification in accounting
• CA qualification, or currently working towards Chartered Accountant status with CA ANZ or equivalent international body
• Strong understanding of accounting standards
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial analysis
• Advanced Excel and financial systems capability
• Experience with TechnologyOne would be advantageous
• Exposure to GST, FBT, and NRWT compliance requirements would be beneficial
• Ability to investigate variances and resolve data quality issues
