Start your finance career in a role designed to develop you into a future Finance Business Partner.
Skills Group is looking for an ambitious Graduate Finance, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business Partner to join our Finance team at our Ellerslie office.
Designed specifically as an entry-level opportunity, this role offers a structured development pathway into commercial finance. You'll work alongside two experienced FP&A Business Partners, gaining hands-on experience across financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting and scenario modelling while developing the commercial awareness and technical capability needed to progress into a full Business Partner role over time.
If you're a recent finance, accounting or economics graduate who is analytical, curious and eager to learn, this is a great opportunity to turn your degree into a career and develop within a high-quality FP&A environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support monthly financial performance analysis, including data extraction, reconciliation and preparation for management reporting.
- Prepare financial analysis and model inputs to support forecasting cycles alongside the FP&A Business Partners.
- Maintain and update financial reports and dashboards, ensuring information is accurate, current and clearly presented.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modelling to support business decision-making.
- Build your understanding of Skills Group's revenue streams, cost structures and key operational and financial drivers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A processes and reporting tools while actively participating in your own structured development.
What You'll Bring
- A degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with financial data.
- Genuine curiosity about how businesses operate and how financial decisions are made.
- A collaborative approach, eagerness to learn and the ability to take feedback on board and apply it.
- Experience with AI, Power BI or financial planning tools would be advantageous, as would progress towards a professional accounting qualification.
