International Student Administrator

Skills Group

Remote

Help create an exceptional experience for international students studying in Aotearoa.

Skills Group is looking for an organised, customer-focused International Student Administrator to join our team at our Wiri campus.

This is a varied and people-focused role supporting international students throughout their journey with us - from enrolment and arrival through to their ongoing study experience. You'll provide hands-on administration, respond to student and agent enquiries, coordinate documentation and compliance requirements, and help ensure every student feels welcomed and supported.

You'll work closely with students, education agents, internal teams and external providers, so we're looking for someone who combines excellent organisation and attention to detail with strong communication, empathy and cultural awareness.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Welcome and support international students through enrolment, orientation and induction, providing clear information and guidance throughout their journey.
  • Coordinate student documentation and administration, ensuring accurate records and compliance with NZQA and Immigration New Zealand requirements.
  • Provide responsive, professional support to students and education agents, resolving enquiries and proactively following up where required.
  • Support students throughout their study experience, identifying individual needs and connecting them with appropriate support when needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with education agents and coordinate accurate agent records, files and contracts.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external providers, supporting international events, student feedback initiatives and programme promotion.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous administration and customer service experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage important documentation accurately.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging with students, agents and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A genuine customer-focused approach, with empathy, patience and cultural sensitivity when supporting international students.
  • The ability to work independently, think on your feet and respond confidently when challenges arise, while also contributing effectively as part of a small team.
  • Experience working with students, education, training or qualifications would be advantageous, and previous leadership or management experience is preferred.

Why join Skills Group?

Our culture is built on our Vital Signs of Joy, Manaakitanga, Grow and Bold, and we encourage curiosity, collaboration and continuous learning.

Benefits That Back You
