Skills Group is looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People & Capability team at our Ellerslie office.

This is a varied, hands-on recruitment role where you'll support recruitment across Skills Group - partnering with hiring managers, creating engaging job advertisements, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting candidates throughout the recruitment journey.

You'll also have the opportunity to contribute beyond day-to-day recruitment, supporting employer branding, recruitment systems and platforms, our Talent Acquisition Hub and careers site, and the continued improvement of how we attract and engage talent.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage recruitment activity across a range of roles, from advertising and sourcing through to screening, interview coordination, and onboarding support.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and help them confidently navigate the recruitment process.
  • Create engaging and inclusive job advertisements and manage vacancies across SEEK, LinkedIn, internal channels, and our careers site.
  • Proactively source and screen candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, social media, industry networks, and other relevant channels.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear communication, timely feedback, and well-coordinated recruitment processes.
  • Support recruitment compliance, ATS and platform management, employer branding, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in talent acquisition or recruitment is essential.
  • Strong candidate sourcing and screening skills, with confidence using platforms such as SEEK and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to partner effectively with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
  • Confidence using recruitment systems, digital tools, AI, and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
